"The small settlement of Strathan lies in a sheltered bay on the edge of Loch Inver. This picture was taken standing in the front garden of the self catering cottage where I stayed for two weeks in autumn. I always like to stay somewhere that has photographic opportunities on the doorstep, and this particular location did not disappoint. Over the two week stay I took many shots of this island in different weather and tidal conditions. This shot was taken in very changeable conditions with frequent rain showers passing through. During the heaviest of the showers I could shelter in the warm and dry cottage a few steps away. During the stay, an Otter made an appearance in this bay on quite a few occasions."
