"Under the right conditions, a place that one visits regularly and is usually ignored, can be changed into a much more attractive scene. These shots were taken along a regular walking circuit close to the village where I live. The snow added an obvious attractive element, and also on this occasion the mist helped to improve the atmosphere of the image as well as mask some distracting features in the distance. I took pictures both with and without people passing by. I slightly favour the pictures I took without any people."
