"Scaleber Force is set in a deep tree-lined gorge. In autumn, the fallen leaves of the surrounding beech trees dapple the rocks surrounding the falls. There are a number of cascades below the falls that provide an excellent foreground element in any composition. Below one of these cascades, the water level was only just low enough to leave the top of a boulder out of the water. A few beech leaves on the top of this boulder created a pleasing effect. I can't remember now whether I placed the leaves there or not, something I'm not averse to trying. Some purist may not like such alterations to the scene."
