"A pile of discarded metal chains on a small quayside have been weathered over the years to produce a really interesting crumbling texture. I'd found these chains six years earlier (smaller image above) and had returned to the same spot to see what state they were now in and see if I could improve on my previous photographs. This time I choose to take compositions concentrating on fewer links of the chains."
