"The balloon drifted alongside the massive dune complex of Sossusvlei. Here, the iron minerals in the sand particles have oxidised to give a striking orange glow to the dunes. The early morning light helping to accentuate the rich tones in the landscape. The high vantage point afforded by the balloon that I was in, provided an excellent photographic platform as we drifted past a vast dune complex. Using a telephoto lens there was an almost endless supply of images to be created from the great variety of dunes."
