"I reached the summit of Corn Du just before dawn on a cold winter's morning. From here, I could see a distant walker making one of the first ascents of the day of Pen-y-Fan, the Brecon Beacons' highest peak. The figure stood out quite well against the covering of deep snow that had fallen the previous night and helped to provide a sense of scale to the magnificent scene. I then walked to the summit of Pen-y-Fan, the image below shows the view back towards the place where I took the main image, the same place another walker was now standing." |
